Is it just me or is this year going really fast? 2013 has not been a great year. Really, really not ready for September. I'm... Scared. Yes we gave been through this before I felt more ready then than now. He understands more, but not enough for me yo tell him what is going yo happen. I am also worried about how brother is going to take it he loves him do much! When we had to take little A to the ER For his ear infection Connor hide and cried in the closet. How can I prepare him for this when I can't even prepare myself? I'm not ready.

ENT

Sorry go for the late update been busy. Took little A to the ENT last week and after having his neck checked we learned that the bump and hole on his neck is a birth defect. This will need to be repaired surgically since the hole leaks. They do not want to fix it until after his heart is fixed so they want to see us in October or November. Not sure how  I feel about it. Not thrilled  at the idea of two more surgeries but they do not want to risk infection
 They also said that this birth defect and his heart defects could be genetically linked. But he didn't remember the link. Anyways thats about it.

Date set

Firstly A is  much better with the ear infection and is almost done taking his medicine.He now has a date set for his OHS. It is set for September tenth. Now it is not set in stone that fat out the surgeon may have something come up that day. Was told he can nit have vaccines six weeks prior to his surgery because they would be flushed out of his system. Also for eight weeks prior to the surgery if he gets sick we have to see his pediatrician to make sure he is okay for the surgery.


He has not been sleeping well he us cutting two teeth at the same time. After setting the surgery date must say extra happy at the decision of waiting a year before sending big brother to kindergarten. Would have started around the time of little A's surgery and I do nit see the combination being good at all!


Lastly here is a picture showing how grumpy the little guy has been.

ER visit

On Wednesday little A had a fever that we were able to control with medicine.Next day though he still had it when it wore off and it was getting higher.After working ten hours went to my mom's to pick up the boys. Held little A and he was just so hot! He was not acting in his normal way when he gets sick. No cough or runny nose. He was spitting up some of his milk, but that was it. It was after hours and mommy senses kicked in saying he needed to be seen. So I took him to the ER at Primary Children's Medical center.

First if ERs sure do take a long time we were there for over 3 hours. They cleaned out his ears so they could have a good luck. They had to wrap him up an  hols him down ans squirt water in his ears. He really did not like that. But he hated the room more . He would not as top crying and started to panic every time someone came into the room. Poor guy does not like hospitals, can't imagine why ;).

After all of that and a 250 copay we learned that little A has an ear infection. He is now on antibiotics for the next ten days. Hope it starts to clear up soon poor little guy is just miserable and big brother is so worried about him.
